How To Enable Kill Switch in IPVanish

Kill Switch is a cool function for privacy that will shut down all of your internet traffic if your VPN connection was to drop. This is a great feature for anonymity and privacy because your internet connection will be killed if you are not being protected by your VPN. Currently this feature is only supported on the Windows and Mac IPVanish clients, so you will not be able to do this on the Android version (Amazon Fire TV).

In this guide I will show you how to enable this feature on the Windows and Mac clients:

Windows:

1. Open IPVanish on your computer

2. Click the gear icon on the left side of the window

3. Choose the “Connection” tab and check the box labeled “Kill Switch”

Mac:

1. Open IPVanish on your computer

2. On the top of your screen click IPVanish VPN -> Preferences

3. Choose the “Connection” tab and check the box labeled “Kill Switch”
